MTA Long Island Rail Road is expecting to resume service to the East End of Long Island in the wake of Hurricane Earl, with Saturday morning trains operating to Greenport. The LIRR will add extra trains for East End service on Saturday. For up-to-date travel service information, customers can visit the LIRR's website at www.mta.info/lirr for updates.

The 12:03 AM from Speonk due in Jamaica at 1:35 AM, is operating 12 minutes late due to police assistance in Oakdale.

The 12:38 AM from Penn Station scheduled to arrive in Montauk at 3:57 AM will terminate at Speonk at 2:48 AM. This cancellation was done as a safety precaution due to Hurricane Earl. Normal service will resume Saturday September 4th at 7:40 AM.

MTA LIRR is expecting to resume service to the East End of Long Island, in the wake of Hurricane Earl, with Saturday morning trains operating to Montauk and Greenport. The LIRR will add two extra trains for East End service on Saturday. See www.mta.info for details.

The LIRR is operating on or close to schedule through the Westbury/Hicksville area. Earlier, there were delays up to 20 minutes due to a police investigation between the two stations.
